Grid8 launches free Interconnection Dashboard with weekly ISO and utility queue analytics
What happened: On Aug. 4, 2025, Grid8 released a no-cost dashboard that centralizes interconnection queue information across U.S. ISOs and utilities, with features for viewing requests by geography and technology, time trends, and project-level details.
Who did it: Grid8, an AI-focused interconnection solutions company; announcement by CEO Manas Pathak.
Why they did it: To give project sponsors a clearer understanding of where interconnection requests are concentrated and how queues are evolving, so planning and siting decisions can be made faster and with fewer surprises.
Stakeholder views: “Interconnection delays are one of the biggest bottlenecks holding back U.S. energy development and data center expansion,” said Manas Pathak.
What happens next: The dashboard is live with weekly refreshes. Grid8 is also marketing related analytics, including capacity and upgrade cost predictions and AI-optimized interconnection filings.

What’s the So What?

This is a constructive step. A clean, regularly updated view of queue activity can reduce the time developers spend collecting and normalizing public postings, and it can sharpen early-stage targeting for both renewable sponsors and hyperscalers.

The impact will turn on whether the tool helps answer the two questions developers care about most: When will I get PTO, and how much will it all cost? There is an opening here for tools that move beyond “where to interconnect” to “how long will this application take to get to PTO if I submit it here.” Grid8’s launch is a welcome milestone and likely will spur further innovation. The market will reward offerings that convert public signals into next-step decisions that actually move projects forward.
